YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio - Thousands of people packed Crickets Bar and Grill on the south side of Youngstown Monday for their chance to win more than $300,000.

90,000 tickets for the Queen of Hearts game were sold over the last two weeks.

With six cards left of the board, the owners decided to draw Monday until the Queen showed her face.  She did just that after the second name was drawn.

John Riley of Youngstown chose card number 30.  He'll take home 90% of the $319,000 jackpot which works out to be about $286,000.
Riley says he's a Crickets regular who comes for the wings each week.

He says he knows what he plans to do with the cash.  "I'm going to invest it. I've got one son who I am going to help out, help my family out. I have a new grand baby," Riley said.

But many people in the crowd cried foul because when Wiley's ticket was drawn he had no chosen number written on the ticket.  He was allowed to chose his number at the stage.  Customers say that was against the rules.

One man commented, "I've played this for 52 weeks with money each week. Now somebody comes here with no number and he gets to win the pot. Is that fair? No, it isn't."

But Crickets management says the rules were clear this time that a winner was going to be chosen tonight and any ticket drawn would have a chance at the queen.

"We didn't feel that just because two people drew the same number we should just throw those tickets away. They were lucky enough to be the next person in line to be drawn. They were here at the bar. Either way, we were giving away all six of these to anyone who was here," said Don Holovatick.

With thousands of people showing up for the drawing people had to park elsewhere and be shuttled to the bar.

Bar owners say they may not have another Queen of Hearts game in the future.
