Lisbon man facing more charges after allegedly trying to rape 12-year-old boy
A Lisbon man is facing additional charges, after being indicted by the Mahoning County Grand Jury Thursday, for allegations involving the attempted rape of a 12-year-old boy.

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio - A Lisbon man is facing additional charges, after being indicted by the Mahoning County Grand Jury Thursday, for allegations involving the attempted rape of a 12-year-old boy.
Forty-eight-year-old Franklin Thorne was indicted on nine charges, including importuning, compelling prostitution, attempted rape, disseminating matter harmful to a juvenile and possessing criminal tools.
Thorne was arrested by The Mahoning Valley Human Trafficking Task Force and Sheriff's Deputies at the Thorne Motel in Center Township where he lives.
Mahoning County Sheriff's Department Major Jeff Allen tells 21 News that Thorne offered $50 to have sex with someone he thought was a 12-year-old boy. Allen says the "boy" was actually an undercover officer.
Allen says the arrest is a continuation of the original online undercover sting that brought indictments against ten other men who face various sex charges.
An online court docket does not yet show Thorne's next court date.
