The Walnut Grove playground is officially open to public
The Walnut Grove, the areas first all-inclusive playground, held a grand opening and ribbon cutting ceremony on Friday.

CANFIELD, Ohio - The Walnut Grove, the areas first all-inclusive playground, held a grand opening and ribbon cutting ceremony on Friday.
Representatives said that the celebration was to officially open the park to the public for recreational use.
Walnut Grove is accessible to all people, especially those with special needs.
Walnut Grove representatives said that the park is solving a need in the area because there is no other park around that is accessible or comparable in size and property.
A spokesperson for The Walnut Grove said, "Our goal at The Walnut Grove is to create an outdoor recreational facility for children of all ages and all abilities."
So far, over $1 million of improvements have been made to the land, including construction and the purchasing of the equipment.
The grand opening began at 1:00 p.m. for special donors, project funders, board members, city officials, and media.
Before the ribbon cutting took place, the Hine Memorial Fund presented the Walnut Grove with a check for $750,000 and a sign was unveiled naming the playground after the Hine Memorial Fund.
At 2:00 p.m. the playground was opened to the general public with a symbolic ribbon cutting by the children in attendance.
