Everywhere you looked there were families at the Hot Rod Super Nationals in Canfield.

The moms, dads and their children enjoyed their time in what has been a tradition for many folks.

Matt, Laura, Hanna, Clay and Grayson Gillam from New Waterford spent time at the Super Nationals.

Matt said, "I was coming here since I was a little kid. I brought my sons, daughter, and wife. We've been coming for many many years. We try to look for the most unique cars."

Thousands of families including the Gillam's enjoyed family day sponsored by 21 WFMJ.

Laura added, "Family Day helps a lot. It makes it a lot more affordable for our family to be able to come out here. Our kids really enjoyed getting to see Optimus Prime, and the Bumble Bee down at the family fun area."

Other families including Jay, Kimberly, Lydia, Julian, and Dillon also enjoyed their time at the Canfield Fairgrounds, making memories and taking pictures in front of cars.

Kimberly said, "I surprised my husband. We weren't able to make the Father's Day car show in Sharon this year, so we came here. We like to come out and see the Oldsmobile's, a lot of the classic cars as well as the specialty cars so it's a lot of fun. We got fair food for the kids as well."

Her husband Jay added, "We really enjoy seeing all of the cars, especially when they drive them around, you can see the great craftwork these guys can do with cars."

After the show ended, folks were invited to an after-party in the parking lot of the Southern Park Mall.
