Five months of road construction has just begun on one of the main roads in Sharon, Pennsylvania.

Eastbound traffic is closed down along East State Street for construction on the Streetscape project. The mile and a half stretch of the closed road will take drivers on a five-mile detour.

Lulu Bean employee Michael Owen says this construction has added time to his already long commute to work. He said, "It roughly adds, depending on what time I come through, an extra five to 15 minutes on top of the time I have to take."

The project is set to last through November and will include paving East State Street and the replacement of a 111-year-old bridge between Wick Avenue and Boyd Drive.
