Wilson Avenue back open after driver knocks down pole, wires

A crash in Youngstown Wednesday morning sent one person to the hospital and left a portion of road blocked off.

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio - A crash in Youngstown Wednesday morning sent one person to the hospital and left a portion of the road blocked off.

Police said the crash happened around 11:40 a.m. on Wilson Avenue near Hazeltine Avenue.

They said the driver crashed into a utility pole and knocked it over along with several wires.

Police said the driver also struck some parked cars.

They were taken to the hospital with unknown injuries.

Wilson Avenue has since been reopened.
