YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio - Youngstown Police arrested a man after he told officers he cracked open a beer and allegedly snorted cocaine off his broken down car.

Police arrested 27-year-old Michael Vickers of Youngstown Saturday just before 8 p.m. after discovering he had an active warrant for a probation violation out of Liberty Township.

According to the report, police were patrolling when they found Vickers' car stopped, blocking a lane of traffic on Liberty Road just off of McGuffey.

The report said Vickers told police his car broke down in the roadway so he decided to drink a beer and admitted he was using the car to allegedly snort cocaine.

Police say they saw a half-full can of beer on the driver's side floor that was still cold.

The officers also searched Vickers and found an orange straw in his pant's pocket, which allegedly contained suspected cocaine residue, the report said.

The report said Vickers told police he allegedly had more cocaine but said he ate it before officers arrived.

Vickers then asked if he could just move the car out of the roadway even though he claimed that the car had broken down.

Vickers faces charges including impeding the flow of traffic, consumption in a motor vehicle and possession of drug paraphernalia.

He's due in court for an arraignment on Monday.
