Campbell School Superintendent Matthew Bowen says he'll recommend approval of a new teacher's contract when the Board of Education meets Tuesday night to consider the agreement already approved by the teacher's union.
Bowen tells 21 News that teachers met Monday morning and voted to ratify an agreement that includes two percent wage increases over the next three years, no increase in health care premiums and no increase in the 7-hour-15-minute workday.
The board meets at 7 p.m. Tuesday and is expected to approve the pact.
Late last month, members of the Campbell Education Association authorized its leadership to issue a ten-day strike notice if needed.
Classes are scheduled to resume on August 22nd.
