After an extensive search, the four missing children from Lima have been found safe.
According to the Lima Police Department Facebook page, the children were found at a home in Kenton, Ohio, less than 30 miles east of Lima, which is in the northwest part of the state.
The children are not harmed and are currently in the temporary custody of the Allen County Children's Services.
A statewide endangered child alert was issued early Tuesday when the non-custodial mother left with the four children, ages eight, nine, 12, and 13.
According to police, Charles Perkins and the mother, Marianne Merritt attempted to flee when law enforcement entered the home but they were stopped and taken into custody without incident
Police report that Charles Perkins was arrested on an active warrant, through The Allen County Common Pleas Court.
The alert described Perkins as armed and dangerous.
Merritt was held on suspicion of Interference with custody and held pending formal charges.
