EAST LIVERPOOL, Ohio - East Liverpool police say a 22-year-old man is facing criminal charges after a unique situation- in which police say he was pretending to be a zombie hunter.

According to police, officers were called out to the site of the former Riverview Florists by an "alert citizen".

Officers say when they arrived at the abandoned property they found 22-year-old Dillon Lockhart carrying a "very large knife" in his hand.

A post of the police department's Facebook, officers searched Lockhart's car and found a loaded handgun with multiple loaded magazines of ammunition, a "plethora of knives", multiple crossbows and arrows.

In addition, the department shared photos of baseball bats that appear to be "modified". One seems to have bottle caps nailed into it, while another appears to have saw blades attached.

Lockhart was arrested and charged with criminal trespassing and improperly handling a firearm in a motor vehicle.

According to court dockets, Lockhart appeared in court Wednesday afternoon and pleaded not guilty to the charges.

Police say Lockhart has been known to travel around the city and dress as a zombie hunter.

Lockhart is due back in court on Thursday.
