Authorities identify man electrocuted outside Mercer prison
Authorities have released the name of the man who died from an apparent electrocution while working at the State Correctional Institution in Mercer.

MERCER, Pa. - Authorities have released the name of the man who died from an apparent electrocution while working at the State Correctional Institution in Mercer.
According to State Police, 38-year-old Travis Hancock of Baltimore, Maryland was the contractor who came in contact with a high tension wire as he was cleaning a diesel fuel tank outside of the prison at around 8 am Thursday.
Prison staff performed CPR until EMS personnel could arrive and take over life-saving efforts.
Hancock was pronounced dead at 8:41 AM by SCI Mercer medical staff.
