The first couple of days of 2019 were cloudy and uneventful across eastern Ohio and western Pennsylvania. Those longing for some sunshine will appreciate the forecast for the end of the week and the weekend. Clouds will decrease Thursday and the sky is expected to stay mainly clear into the evening hours. Some high clouds will dim the sun a bit on Friday but temperatures will jump into the mid 40s in the afternoon.

The benign weather will continue over the upcoming weekend. Some sunshine will send temperatures well into the 40s each day.

Showers will return to the area Monday into Monday night. Snow showers and falling temperatures will become likely by Tuesday afternoon and evening. Temperatures will be near seasonal averages for a couple of days before the next dose of mild air arrives later next week.
