UNION TWP, Pa. - Five people are behind bars after allegedly kidnapping and torturing a woman for information about alleged missing money.

Pennsylvania State Police say five suspects were charged after kidnapping the woman on Friday.

According to information from State Police, the woman went to a home on Sunny Ave in Unity Township where she met 35-year-old Jason Bowdry and 24-year-old Samantha King.

PSP says the victim and her boyfriend left the home, only to be called back by Bowdry.

According to a report, when the victim got back to the home the suspects began questioning her about missing money.

The report says that when the suspects didn't find the money, Bowdry allegedly taped the victim's arms behind her back.

PSP claims in the report that 45-year-old Eddie Johnson III then lowered the victim to the ground, gagged her, and used a clamp on her toe to try to get information.

From there the report says Johnson forced her to stand against a wall as 31-year-old Isaac Anderson struck her feet with a hammer.

State Police say Anderson continued to hit the victim's legs and feet with a large piece of wood.

According to PSP, the suspects then gave the woman a pain pill and told her she couldn't leave.

The following morning, State Police say the victim was forced into a car with Bowdry, King, and 25-year-old Anthony Michael, in order to head to West Virginia.

PSP says Bowdry stopped at a motel in order to use the restroom. Once he got back into the car, Bowdry allegedly fell asleep in the back seat next to the victim.

At this point PSP says the victim was able to start texting a friend, providing landmarks and information so that her friend could call 911.

The car was stopped a short while later in South Fayette Township, about 15 miles southwest of Pittsburgh.

Bowdry, King, and Michael were taken into custody.

PSP says the woman was taken to the hospital for medical treatment.

A short while later police received a search warrant at the hotel room where Anderson was staying. a State Police report says they discovered a large amount of drugs along with a scale in the room.
