YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio - Youngstown police were called to the 3000 block of Mahoning Avenue for a possible break-in.

On January 16, just after 2:30 am, Youngstown police were dispatched to Jordan Auto Sale for a break-in. When police arrived they noticed the front window partially broken and the screen was forced out.

Police say that they also noticed a silver container open with keys inside of it on the sidewalk next to the broken window.

According to the police report, the lights were on inside of the business and it was ransacked. Papers were all over the place, boxes were on the ground and the drawers were opened. All of the other doors and windows were secured and locked. Police say that upon further investigation they saw more papers, car keys and other items all over the floor. A locked office had also been kicked in with damage to the inside frame.

According to authorities, the burglars stole a black and silver Smith and Wesson handgun.

The Boardman Police Department had an attempted break-in at the Miller Rod & Gun business and there were three vehicles that were from the Jordan Auto Sale and they appeared to be stolen. The vehicles consisted of a gold Chevy Malibu, White Honda Pilot, and a blue Chevy Silverado. All three cars were confirmed missing from the Jordan Auto Sale's lot.

Youngstown police reviewed the surveillance video and it showed five male suspects outside of the business attempting to break-in. Police say two suspects gained entry into the window and then rummaged throughout the front of the building taking several unknown items, keys and possible license plates. The suspects then appeared to hand off items to other suspects who were still outside. Police say that all suspects appeared to have on gloves and black masks covering parts of their face.

No arrests have been made.
