Portage County deputy set on fire released from hospital
A Portage County deputy who was lit on fire while attempting to serve a search warrant has been released from the hospital. Portage County Sheriff Dave Doak posted the news to Facebook Monday night.

Portage County, OH - A Portage County deputy who was lit on fire while attempting to serve a search warrant has been released from the hospital.
Portage County Sheriff Dave Doak posted the news to Facebook Monday night.
Acklin was attempting to serve a warrant Thursday when 45-year-old Jay Brannon allegedly ignited a container of flammable liquid and threw it at him. Acklin suffered burns to 20 percent of his body.
Brannon was charged with attempted aggravated murder and aggravated arson and remains jailed on a $1 million bond.
