BOARDMAN TWP., Ohio - A traffic accident in Boardman caused a widespread power outage Sunday night that stretched into Monday morning.

A car rolled over, striking two utility poles near Sheilds Road and Glenwood Avenue.  The driver left the scene, but police say he is expected to turn himself in to face charges.

According to the Ohio Edison website,  at 10:30 pm Sunday 1,843 customers in Boardman and Canfield were in the dark.

All power was restored by 5 am Monday.
