HANCOCK CO., W Va. - The FBI is asking if anyone has information about what happened to a woman who was last seen at Mountaineer Casino Racetrack and Resort twelve years ago today.

The FBI's Pittsburgh office tweeted that this week marks 12 years since Karen Adams was last seen in Hancock County, West Virginia.

Investigators say the elementary school teacher's aide from Independence Township, Pennsylvania drove a red/maroon, four-door, '05 Suzuki Forenza sedan to Mountaineer to play bingo on March 11, 2007.

The FBI says Adams left the bingo area around 11 p.m. that evening, possibly headed to the gaming side of the resort to play the slot machines.

She was seen on surveillance video at approximately 3 o'clock the following morning leaving the gambling complex, and she has not been seen nor heard from since that time. Her car has also not been located.

Adams, who also worked at a local department store as a cashier clerk, was not married. The FBI says she owned a dog to which she was quite attached. She enjoyed playing local bingo.
