HAMILTON, Ohio (AP) - A man accused of killing an Ohio woman after stalking her for months has pleaded guilty to murder and other charges.
Michael Strouse also pleaded guilty Tuesday in Butler County Common Pleas Court to charges of menacing by stalking and gross abuse of a corpse in the death of 23-year-old Ellen Weik, of West Chester.
Court documents accuse Strouse of killing Weik in August 2018 after stalking her since the beginning of last year.
Authorities said the 29-year-old Liberty Township man placed a plastic wrap over Weik's head, killing her. They also said he wrapped her body in a blanket and placed it in a field across from his house.
Strouse is scheduled to be sentenced April 17.
A message seeking comment was left for Strouse's attorneys.
