State Police in Lawrence County suspect drugs or alcohol may have played a part in a two-vehicle crash that sent one person to the hospital.

HICKORY Twp., Pa. - State Police in Lawrence County suspect drugs or alcohol may have played a part in a two-vehicle crash that sent one person to the hospital.
Police say a crossover SUV pulled into the path of a Ford F-550 truck at the intersection of Eastbrook Volant Road and State Road in Hickory Township Wednesday afternoon.
The SUV and the truck landed on an embankment, trapping the SUV driver.
Emergency crews had to use the "Jaws of Life" to remove the roof of the SUV.
The SUV driver was flown by a medical doctor to Mercy Health in Youngstown. There is no word on that victim's condition. The truck driver wasn't injured.
Police suspect that the SUV driver may have been under the influence of alcohol or drugs. Charges are pending the results of chemical testing.
