Man stabbed, mugged at Newton Falls apartment complex
Police are searching for leads after a man was stabbed overnight at Newton Village Apartments.
NEWTON FALLS, Ohio - Police are searching for leads after a man was stabbed overnight at Newton Village Apartments.
The call came in around 1:20 am on Sunday for a 23-year-old man who had been mugged and stabbed with a two to three-inch knife outside the apartment complex on Ridge Road.
The suspect then took off on foot, according to dispatchers and has not yet been apprehended.
Newton Falls police said they do not believe this was a random act and that the victim and suspect may have known each other.
The victim was taken to the hospital.
Police said they have no update on his condition, but he was conscious and breathing.
Newton Falls detectives and the road patrol are investigating.
