BOARDMAN, Ohio - A new place for fun and fitness has opened in Boardman.
Transcend Bouldering Lounge opened last Friday and is the only public rock climbing facility in the area.
The facility boasts a 3,000 square foot "bouldering wall" that is 16 feet high.
Transcend hopes to become a community fixture and attract new and experienced climbers.
"There's actually a lot of climbers in Youngstown believe it or not," said Chad Umbel, Director of Setting for Transcend Bouldering Lounge.
He added, "It's just a fun activity, it's very healthy, good for you mentally and physically."
The new business comes just in time as rock climbing is being added to the Olympics in 2020.
