HOWLAND TWP., Ohio - July 4 is nearly three months away, but people driving through part of Howland may see fireworks tonight.

Howland Township Fire Chief James Pantalone issued a news release notifying members of the community that a private fireworks display is planned tonight, April 9, 2019, on land adjacent to 9519 E. Market Street, which is next to the Avalon Inn.

Chief Pantalone says the fire department has issued a permit for the display and firefighters will be on the scene from setup until after the display.

A rain date has been set for Thursday night.
