WARREN, Ohio - Warren police are investigating a robbery after three men broke into an apartment.

The incident happened on the 1100 block of Taylor Street around 7 pm on Wednesday.

According to the police report, a white male knocked on the door of the victim's home and said "my dad used to work on your car."

Police say the victim did not recognize the man and closed the door.

Reports say the victim heard a knock on the door a few minutes later and opened the door to tell the white male to leave.

When the victim opened the door, two black males ran in and forced their way into the apartment.

According to the report, the victim tried to pick up one of the men to slam him but was hit by the other man with a gun.

Police say the victim fell into the window and broke it.

Reports say while the fight was happening, the white male went through the apartment.

According to the report, the three males left the apartment and kicked in another door that set off an alarm.

The three men left after the alarm went off and traveled north on Parkman Road.

Police say the victim had a knot on his head from the scuffle.

According to the report, $200 in cash was stolen from the apartment.

No arrests have been made.
