POLAND, Ohio - The buzz of chainsaws is a familiar sound in parts of Poland Township and Village as crews remove trees knocked over during Sunday's storm.

National Weather Service experts say it was straight-line winds and not a tornado that caused widespread damage in the community.

As of 11 am, fallen trees and wires had shut down Highland Avenue and Denver Drive in the township and North Lima Road in the village.

There were uprooted trees in yards and houses mostly in the area south of route 224.

As of 11 am Monday, FirstEnergy crews were still working to restore power to 333 homes and businesses in Poland. Some people may not have their electricity back until late Tuesday.
