EAST LIVERPOOL, Ohio - Several dogs and cats were rescued from what's being described as an uninhabitable home on the north side of East Liverpool.
The City Planning, Service Safety, Police Department, Stowers Brothers and County Dog Pound joined forces Wednesday to condemn the home which housed six dogs and an undetermined amount of cats.
Living conditions were deemed uninhabitable by humans with trash strewn across the floor.
All occupants were immediately evicted.
All dogs were rescued by the county dog warden, while the cats are being taken care of by a local resident who fosters them.
One person who lives at the home was arrested for disorderly conduct.
The house was condemned and boarded up, with the owner instructed to only be on the premises making repairs with consent from the Planning Department.
