YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio - The Mercy Health Abdu Breast Care Center received $20,000 in mastectomy bras that will support breast cancer survivors in the area.

According to the press release, 'I Support the Girls' is a non-profit organization that aims to provide intimate apparel and feminine hygiene products to women in need.

Warren resident Jodi Morrison joined 'I Support the Girls' after undergoing a double mastectomy in 2016.

Morrison collects and distributes bras and other intimate clothing items to local organizations.

She underwent her procedure at the Abdu Center and Morrison wanted them to be among the first organizations that received a donation.

"I wanted to come here because this is where I came to have my mastectomy. I wanted to give back," Morrison said.

According to the release, 370 mastectomy bras were donated in a variety of sizes along with a small amount of prosthetics.

The bras will be given away May 29 from 9 a.m. until 6 p.m. and appointments are suggested.

Walk-ins will be first-come, first-served. Those interested can call 330-480-2763 to schedule an appointment.
