YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio - Police responded to the Burger King on Midlothian Boulevard Monday evening, after employees said they were robbed at gunpoint by a man in a Spider-Man mask.
An employee told police the incident happened just before 7:00 p.m., when the suspect walked in and entered a bathroom, emerging moments later wearing a Spider-Man mask and holding a handgun.
According to a police report, the suspect approached the counter and demanded money before he grabbed an unknown amount from the register and fled in an older model green sedan.
Two-and-a-half-hours later, police were again dispatched to Midlothian Boulevard for a robbery in progress at Rite Aid.
A Rite Aid employee told police, three men entered the store in all black clothing with their faces covered and demanded money.
The employee told police, one of the suspects was holding a handgun and pushing her while telling her to give him the money.
The suspects grabbed the till from the cash drawer, containing an unknown amount of money and several postage stamps.
The suspects fled on foot and were not found by police.
It is unclear if these robberies are connected and police are still looking for suspects.
