WARREN, Ohio - An 8-year-old boy went to the hospital after saying his bicycle was involved in a hit-and-run accident in Warren.

The child told officers he had been visiting a friend on Irene Avenue NE when his bicycle was hit by a red vehicle near Cornell Street at around 8:30 p.m. Wednesday.

The boy didn't remember much, but said the front wheel of his bike was struck by the vehicle, which then drove away.

The child said he was in pain after being knocked to the ground.  Hewas taken to Trumbull Memorial Hospital.

Police are still investigating.
