YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio -
With the announced closing of The Vindicator, many are asking what's next, and some are already taking steps to address that issue.
A free community forum to discuss what's next will be held on Tuesday evening at the Tyler History Center in Youngstown. It's being hosted by The Youngstown Press Club and the Youngstown Rotary. The moderator is the chair of Youngstown State University's Department of Communication, Adam Earnheardt, who said this creates a void that needs to be addressed.
"I think there were a lot of people who felt we needed to act pretty quickly here to do a couple of things; try to get out in front of any misinformation that's going on, and also talk about really what everyone ultimately wants, a solution. How are we going to fill this news void that's going to be left by The Vindicator," Earnheardt said.
According to Earnheardt, the forum will provide an opportunity to share stories and feelings as well as ideas for the future.
The forum is free and open to the public. It begins at 6 pm on Tuesday at the Tyler History Center, 325 W. Federal Street in downtown Youngstown.
