Music festival, fireworks planned for July 4 in Youngstown

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio - Front Street will be blocked off Thursday as Youngstown celebrates Independence Day.
Youngstown's 4th of July fireworks display is scheduled to take place downtown at 9:30 pm on Thursday, July 4th.
Fireworks will be launched rain or shine from the Covelli Centre parking lot, according to a media release.
Front Street will be closed to all vehicle traffic, but remain open to pedestrians. Surface lots on Front Street will be open.
The city is also holding its 6th annual Youngstown Music Festival.
The music festival is being held to celebrate unity, nonviolence and the arts.
Music, food vendors and the 6th annual car show starts at noon on East Federal Street.
All bridges will be open to enter the downtown area.
Boardman Street will be open to vehicle traffic.
