NEW CASTLE, Pa. - PennDOT has announced that a New Castle bridge will experience lane restrictions Tuesday night.

According to the release, the West Washington Street Bridge over the Shenango River in Lawrence County will have lane restrictions, weather permitting.

Single-lane alternating traffic will be controlled by an officer and flaggers between South Front Street and North Columbus Interbelt.

The restrictions started around 8 p.m. and are expected to continue through 4 a.m.

Deck replacements, painting, new lighting and other repairs are part of the $2.75 million project.
