CORTLAND, Ohio - Police are looking for a suspect who robbed a Cortland convenience store early Monday.

According to Trumbull County 911 records, a hold-up alarm went off just before 8 a.m. At the Valley View Food Mart on South High Street.

The clerk reported that a man with a gun took cash from the register and told her that if she called the police, he would come back and shoot her.

The suspect walked out of the store before running away on South Mecca Street.

The clerk describes the suspect as a skinny black male wearing a gray hoodie and blue jeans.

In addition to noticing the silver handgun he brandished, the clerk told police the robber's pants were sagging and could see he was wearing blue underwear.

Police hope to review surveillance video to identify the suspect.
