AUSTINTOWN, Ohio - An Austintown man is behind bars after allegedly entering a home.

According to the report, officers were dispatched to the home on the 500 block of Westgate Boulevard around 3:30 a.m. on July 6.

Police say one of the residents told them that 26-year-old Austin Chace was hiding in an upstairs bedroom and was hiding in a crawl space.

Reports say Chace was highly intoxicated at the time and had swallowed two grams of heroin.

The homeowner told police that Chace was not permitted in the house and that her watch was missing.

According to the report, Chace entered the home through a broken sliding door and said that police were looking for him because he stole some guns and hid them at an apartment.

Chace was transported to the hospital after ingesting the drugs.

He has been charged with felony burglary.
