Youngstown police are investigating an apparent homicide on 550 Philadelphia Avenue on Wednesday afternoon.

According to police, 38-year-old Kenneth Kimbrough was found shot in his home at 12:48 p.m.

Police initially responded to a 911 call from a family member after they went inside of the home and found Kimbrough's body.

This is an active investigation.
