DETROIT, MI. - During Tuesday nights Democratic presidential debate, Valley Congressman Tim Ryan was the topic of conversation, but it was not because of his opinions during the debate. 

Congressman Ryan was trending on Twitter because he did not put his hand over his heart during the opening moments of the debate while the National Anthem was being played. 

Ryan was the only participant to not put his hand over his heart. 

Ryan did not address it during his opening statements of the debate.
