BOARDMAN, Ohio - Police say a man yelled all officers were unethical and breaking the law during his OVI arrest.

Nicholas Kubala, 22, of Boardman was arrested Friday just after 12:50 a.m.

According to a police report, officers spotted him driving with his headlights off. An officer turned on his overhead lights, and Kubala did not immediately stop, so he turned on his siren. The officer said the suspect started to toss things into the roadway.

Kubala stopped at Kentwood Drive and Applewood Boulevard and was ordered to get out of the car at gunpoint.

Police say he had trouble getting out of the car, and they detained him. This was when he started screaming all officers were unethical and breaking the law, the report said.

According to the officer, he smelled alcohol, and Kubala's speech was slurred. The officer said Kubala asked about the reason for his stopover over ten times, and after he was told why, he would ask again.

Police were not able to find any of the objects the suspect allegedly threw out of the car but say they found a pill, which a field test showed tested positive for ecstasy, on the passenger seat of the car. Police say they also found marijuana in the center console.

He was booked Friday on charges including failure to comply with order or signal, possession of drugs and OVI.
