Warren police are investigating after an attempted robbery at Goodwill on the 2000 block of Elm Road.

The incident happened around 11:40 a.m. on Friday.

Police say the cashier at the store was passed a note saying, "I have a gun, and I need to feed my daughter."

According to the report, the suspect was a light-skinned black male, standing around 6'0" and weighing about 200 pounds.

The man was last seen wearing a grey hooded sweatshirt and grey shorts. He was clean-shaven with short hair.

Reports say the cashier told the man that she would go get her manager and walked away from the register to the back of the store.

Police say the suspect walked out of the store in an unknown direction.

Employees at Goodwill did not know who the man was.

No money was taken from the store.
