Students in Youngstown State University's Master of Athletic Training and Physical Therapy programs worked with local EMS to take part in a simulated helicopter rescue scenario Friday.
During the event, students got first-hand experience with loading injured patients on stretchers.
The event also covered what the students should do in emergencies involving medical evacuation helicopters.
Attendees said the experience was beneficial for both the students and the local EMS.
