WARREN, Ohio - Police say a 68-year-old Cortland woman apparently gave them false information about an alleged blackmail attempt from a man she said sent her pictures of Vin Deisel when they agreed to trade nude photos.

The woman called police on Sunday and told an officer that she had traded nude pictures with someone she met on the “Hangouts” app last week.

She claimed that she stopped trading photos after discovering that the person had been sending her pictures of the actor Vin Diesel.

Now she claims that the person threatened to release her nude photos unless she paid him $6,000 by Tuesday.

Investigators now believe the information from the “victim” is false. According to the police report, the male she had been corresponding with is supposedly living in the Gulf of Mexico, and his son needs the money to attend college in Germany.
