He's one of country music's biggest stars, and even though singer and TV personality Blake Shelton is not on tour, he's making a special trip to Youngstown for this weekend's "Y-Live event."

So what do you need to know if you plan on attending?

JAC LIVE began constructing the stage and preparing the site on Wednesday for country music star Blake Shelton, and from the looks of it, the performance platform that is 56 wide, and 48 feet deep is a major undertaking.

Phoebe Breckenridge, the Marketing and Sales Coordinator for JAC Management and JAC LIVE says, "We're lucky enough that YSU lets us use this space. But it is not a concert venue so it takes time and effort to turn it into one in such a short amount of time. Especially with school being in."

Shelton who is also the star of the television show The Voice -- will take the stage on Saturday night, with opening acts by Justin Moore and Tyler Farr.

"We have three national artists, it's the first for us on the same stage. So the music starts at 7, it does not stop until many hours later," Breckenridge said.

Shelton will showcase his singing talent before 15,000 people in the stands, and about 6,000 with seats on the field. Tickets and parking passes are still available.

But you need to get to the stadium and parking early because while construction has wrapped up on Fifth Avenue near the on and off ramps to the Madison Avenue Expressway, if you're approaching Fifth Avenue from the south, you'll face construction and road closures -- forcing you to take side streets and access Fifth Avenue from Rayen.

Show promoters tell 21 News: No weapons, no video cameras, no alcohol, beverages or food from the outside are allowed inside the stadium. Security also asks that you don't bring large purses or bags, and no coolers are allowed.

You can tailgate in YSU lot M-70.

Parking lots on campus will open at 3:00 PM on Saturday, and the gates to the stadium where the concert will be held open at 5:30 PM.
