Liberty Township Police are asking for the public's help in locating a 12-year-old runaway.

Landen Mills has been missing since Wednesday night from his Liberty Township home on Euclid Boulevard.

His mother contacted police just before midnight on Wednesday saying that her 12-year-old son ran away from home.

Mills was last seen by his mother at about 10:00 PM on Wednesday when she told him to take out the trash.

The Liberty mother took a nap and when she woke up she told police that her son was not in his bedroom.

The family has recently moved from Girard to Liberty and the woman says it's been a tough transition for her son.

12-year-old Landen Mills was last seen wearing:

  •    A white T-shirt with a basketball jersey over it,
  •    Blue Jeans
  •    Red tennis shoes
  •    5'0" and approximately 60 pounds
  •    Black hair and brown eyes

The child's mother says her son has a history of running away when he gets into trouble.

According to a police report the mother told officers that she told her son if he gets in trouble at school again, she was going to discipline him.
