Inspection finds no sign of leak or water in Valley View gas tanks

WARREN, Ohio - After customer complaints about gas quality in Warren, 21 News looked into the issue Monday with a Watchdog Report.
21 News continued to follow that story Tuesday as Valley View received an inspection.
Representatives traveled to the Valley following the report and inspected the gas quality at Valley View.
The gas station invited 21 News to their property to show the added measures they have put in place to ensure a tank full of clean gasoline.
The Bureau of Underground Storage Tank Regulations or BUSTR says they are sending a representative to the area soon.
"We are currently making arrangements for one of our inspectors to visit the facility to perform an operations compliance inspection. The emphasis will be to look for water," said Verne Ord, BUSTR Bureau Chief.
Valley View Corporate gave 21 News a video of a state inspector at their station on Tuesday morning.
BUSTR officials say they did not find any evidence of a leak or water in the tank.
Valley View says they want customers to know that they don't have any problems and have not to the best of their knowledge.
Valley View Corporate Director of Operations Sarah Pena said that all the testing came back great and that there was no suspected separation of the fuel.
BUSTR checks gas station storage tanks every three years.
Owners are responsible for reporting issues within 24 hours if their leak detection equipment sends out an alarm or if a discovery of water in a gas storage tank is made.
Pena says Valley View takes extra measures to ensure proper gas quality with leak protection systems and high-quality filters.
Members of the public can contact BUSTR about a suspected leak by calling 614-752-7938 or by emailing web.bustr@com.state.oh.us.
