CORTLAND, Ohio - The Cortland Police Department says an alleged student threat is not credible. 

The alleged threat was made during school hours but was not brought to the district's attention until Thursday evening. 

Cortland Police say they were immediately notified and worked together with Lakeview administrators to determine the threat was not credible. 

There will be an increased police presence at and around all schools as a precaution.
