Howland seventh graders to learn how to 'Stop the Bleed'
Stop the Bleed is a government initiative that was created after the Florida school shooting to educate non-medical personnel on how to administer first aid to someone with life threatening bleeding injuries.

HOWLAND, Ohio - Seventh graders at Howland Middle School will learn how to Stop the Bleed Monday.
According to the release, the seventh-grade students will learn how to use gauze and a tourniquet.
Stop the Bleed is a government initiative that was created after the Florida school shooting to educate non-medical personnel on how to administer first aid to someone with life-threatening bleeding injuries.
The program is administered during the district's new Heath and Wellness Course that offers students lessons that will benefit them throughout their lives.
A representative from the American Red Cross will also be at the school in the coming weeks teaching CPR.
