Liberty Steel Industries in Howland Township is expanding its facility with the promise of new jobs.

Howland Township Trustees have approved tax incentives of 60 percent for ten years for the expansion of the company's facility at 2207 Larchmont Avenue.

Commissioners say the company plans to add 15 full-time permanent jobs at the site within three years after the construction is done.

Along with the expansion, the facility will be adding new machinery and equipment.

Liberty Steel Industries is part of the Golden Triangle industrial area, which is comprised of companies in Warren, Bazetta, and Howland Township.

Trumbull County Commissioner Frank Fuda says there are 3,000 workers in that area, and the companies are doing well.
