Pat Ungaro honored with plaque at Liberty Twp. Trustee meeting
A plaque was presented to the Ungaro family Monday night in honor of former public leader Pat Ungaro.
The plaque was purchased by the Liberty Historical Society and was presented by Trustee Jodi Stoyak and Liberty Historical Society President Judy McGuire.
"It was very heartwarming and sentimental for me, as I worked with him and he supported me in a lot of things. We worked together very closely," Stoyak said.
Ungaro served as Liberty Township administrator for 18 years. He also served as mayor of Youngstown from 1984 to 1997.
The plaque was installed behind the podium next to the American Flag installation photo at the Liberty Township Administration Building.
The meeting took place on Monday at 6:30 p.m.
Trustee Stoyak also presented a framed poster of the reconstruction of the triangle bed to the Board of Trustees to acknowledge donors for the project.
