YOUNGSTOWN - If you get your internet or phone service from Armstrong, you may have found yourself without service Wednesday morning.

After fielding questions from concerned residents, a dispatcher for the Austintown Police Department said she learned that Armstrong had a planned outage until 7 a.m. Wednesday.

According to the website downdetector.com, which monitors service interruptions and outages in the digital world, Armstrong customers in Youngstown, Pittsburgh, Akron, Butler, and other cities began reporting internet issues at around 8 p.m. Tuesday.

A similar website, downhunter.com, also reported internet outages starting just after midnight.

Armstrong TV does not appear to be impacted.
