A Youngstown man was in the Mahoning County Court of Common Pleas on Thursday for child porn related charges.

Nicholas Yukon, 29, pleaded guilty to seven counts of obscenity involving a minor and one count of tampering with evidence.

Police say Yukon downloaded and shared child pornography.

When police came to serve a search warrant at Yukon's home in July, he was caught trying to destroy the evidence.

Investigators confiscated items from the home including flash drives, computers and cell phones.

Yukon was indicted on 50 counts of obscenity involving minors and two counts of tampering with evidence.

Prosecutors agreed to dismiss the remaining 43 counts of pandering obscenity involving a minor and one count of tampering with evidence as a part of a plea deal.

Yukon will be sentenced on Dec. 3.
