CANFIELD, Ohio - A local state representative is asking Ohio Attorney General Dave Yost to look into Canfield schools after police laid out multiple instances where they say the district failed to report serious threats.

State Representative Don Manning says he's been in contact with Yost directly, and he has asked him if he would look into the matter.

This week, Canfield Police released a report with 22 documented incidents in seven years.

The school district released a statement after the report's release. It said, in part: "We are disappointed that the department has taken specific incidents involving students, without context, and use them as examples to suggest our schools are unsafe at the hands of our administration."

There's still no word on if the attorney general will look into the district.
