Two Beaver Local School graduates, Derek Wolfe, a current Super Bowl winning defensive end for the Denver Broncos and entrepreneur Jamin Pastore, have made a one million dollar donation to the school district.

The donation will be used to update athletic facilities at the football and soccer venues, as well as an indoor sports upgrade.

As part of 'Derek Wolfe Day,' Wolfe visited the school district to talk with students and staff so they could take part in the event.

Students were encouraged to make signs and wear Denver Bronco gear and jerseys to celebrate Wolfe's accomplishments.

Wolfe is one of the only individuals from Columbiana County to ever be drafted in the NFL and also the only to win the Super Bowl from the county.

Jamin Pastore is the President and CEO of JP Capital Management.

After spending a great deal of time at the school both men traveled over to the football field.

As Wolfe walked around the football field where he played football more than a decade ago in high school he says, "I remember coming around here, walking around."

Wolfe says it feels good to be back on the high school football field at Beaver Local where he always knew he wanted to make something out of himself.

"It's surreal. This is where it all started. It's a lot of good times. A lot of crazy times," Wolfe said.

The Super Bowl winning athlete says he always had the drive and determination to get to the pros.

"A lot of people told me I couldn't do it, but I never thought I couldn't do it. I always knew I'd make it," Wolfe said.

Wolfe said along with Pastore they donated the $1,000,000 to Beaver Local so that the grass football field can be upgraded to turf. Paying their success forward the best way they know how.

"Well they're going to build a new field, and we're going to try and build a new field house. Try to get the best facilities in the area. Paying it forward is everything. You want to stay humble and stay grounded," Wolfe told 21 News.

What the current football coach says is so important is that these two successful young men have not forgotten what this football field has taught them and where they came from.

Beaver Local Football Head Coach Mike McKenzie says, "It's unbelievable the generosity that they're exhibiting and what they want to do to the school we can't thank them enough."

Wolfe says he will be back when the new field is build, as well as the the new field house and he even said it would give him a good place to train.
